Do not back off the nut to reduce the preload.\n\n23. CHECK DRIVE PINION SHAFT RUNOUT\nMeasure the drive pinion shaft runout at a point 10 mm (0.39 in.) from the end of the shaft.\nMaximum runout:\n0.08 mm (0.0031 in.)\n10 mm (0.39 in.)\n\n24. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL CASE IN CARRIER\n(See page SA–73)\n\n25. INSTALL O–RING\n(a) Coat a new O–ring with hypoid gear oil.\n(b) Install the O–ring to the carrier retainer.\n\n26. INSTALL OIL SEAL\n(a) Using SST and a press, install a new oil seal to the carrier retainer.\n2JZ–GTE M/T:\nSST 09223–15030, 09608–35014 (09608–06020)\n11.5 ± 0.5
