CONNECT VACUUM GAUGE\nUsing a 3–way connector, connect vacuum gauge to the vac-\nuum hose between the actuator and VSV.\n\n2. START ENGINE\n\nNo Vacuum\nmmHg\nVacuum Gauge\nP10710\n\n3. INSPECT ACIS\n(a) While the engine is idling, check that the vacuum gauge\nneedle does not move.\n\nApprox.\n33.3 kpa\nmmHg\nVacuum Gauge\nPull\nActuator\nRod\nP10844\n\n(b) Rapidly depress the accelerator pedal to fully open position\nand check that the vacuum gauge needle momentarily\nfluctuates approx. 33.3 kPa (250 mmHg, 9.84 in.Hg) or more.\n(The actuator rod is pulled down.) If operation is not as\nspecified, check each part.\n\n4.
