DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT\n2. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY\n(a) Disconnect the hose, cables and connectors from the throttle body:\n(1) Air hose\n(2) Accelerator cable\n(3) Cruise control actuator cable\n(4) Throttle position sensor connector\n(5) Sub–throttle position sensor connector\n(6) Sub–throttle actuator connector\n(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and disconnect the throttle body from the air intake chamber.\nTorque: 21 N·m (210 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf)\n(c) Remove the gasket.\nINSTALLATION HINT: Use a new gasket.\n\n(d) Disconnect these hoses from the throttle body, and remove the throttle body:\n(1) EVAP hose\n(2) Water bypass hose (from No.4 water bypass pipe)\n(3) Water bypass hose (from cylinder head)\n(4) PS air hose\n\nTHROTTLE BODY INSPECTION\nThrottle Body\n\n1. CLEAN THROTTLE BODY\n(a) Using a soft brush and carburetor cleaner, clean the cast parts.\n(b) Using compressed air, clean all the passages and apertures.\nNOTICE: To prevent deterioration, do not clean the throttle position sensors, actuator, dashpot and throttle opener.\n\n2. INSPECT THROTTLE VALVE\n(a) Disconnect the throttle opener vacuum hose from the throttle body.\n(b) Apply vacuum to the throttle opener.\n(c) Check that there is no clearance between the throttle stop screw and throttle lever when the throttle valve is fully closed.\n(d) Reconnect the vacuum hose to the throttle body.\n\nThrottle Lever\nVacuum\nNo clearance\nDisconnect\nThrottle Stop
