CONFIRM FUNCTIONING OF SST\n(See page RS–19)\nSST 09082–00700\n\n2. DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR\n(a) Remove the glove compartment finish plate inside the instrument panel box.\nNOTICE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.\n(b) Pull up the connector.\n(c) Disconnect the airbag connector.\n3. INSTALL SST\n(a) Connect the SST connector to the front passenger airbag assembly connector.\nSST 09082–00700\nNOTICE: To avoid damaging the SST connector and wire harness, do not lock the secondary lock of the twin lock.\n(b) Move the SST to at least 10 m (33 ft) from the front of the vehicle.\n(c) Close all the doors and windows of the vehicle.\nNOTICE: Take care not to damage the SST wire harness.\n(d) Connect the SST red clip to the battery positive (+) terminal and the black clip to the battery negative (–) terminal.\n\nBattery\nSST\n10 m (33ft) or more\n\n4. DEPLOY AIRBAG\n(a) Confirm that no–one is inside the vehicle or within 10 m (33 ft) of the vehicle.\n(b) Press the SST activation switch and deploy the airbag.\nHINT: The airbag deploys simultaneously as the LED of the SST activation switch lights
