matrix chart of problem symptoms on page EG–408.\n\n1 Check output condition of diagnostic trouble code 43.\n\nP Setting the test mode.\n(1) Turn ignition switch OFF.\n(2) Connect terminals TE2 and E1 of DLC2.\n(3) Turn ignition switch ON.\n(Don't start the engine)\n(4) Connect terminals TE1 and E1 of DLC2.\n\nC Check if code \"43\" is output by the malfunction indicator lamp.\n\nOK Code \"43\" is output.\n\nC Start the engine.\nCheck if code \"43\" disappears.\n\nOK Code \"43\" is not output.\n\nFI6914\n\nCHECK\n\nNG OK Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on matrix chart (See page EG–408).\n\n2 Check for open in harness and connector between engine control module and starter relay (See page IN–30).\n\nOK NG Repair or replace harness or connector.\n\nCheck and replace engine control
