INSPECTION OF REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SWITCH
INSPECT SWITCH OPERATION
(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5. Connect the negative (−) lead to terminal 6.
(b) Connect an ohmmeter between terminals 2 and 6.
(c) Check that there is continuity between terminals for 10 − 20 minutes with the switch turned on.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

INSPECTION OF REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER RELAY
1. INSPECT RELAY CONTINUITY
(a) Check that the there is continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
(b) Check that there is no continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
2. INSPECT RELAY OPERATION
Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and connect the negative (−) lead from the battery to terminal 3. Then, check that there is continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
