Turn ignition switch off.

INSPECT CABLE FREEPLAY
Is control cable freeplay less than 10 mm
(0.39 in.) ?
No → Adjust control cable freeplay.
Yes ↓
INSPECT ACUTATOR OPERATION
Disconnect connector from actuator.
Inspect actuator operation. (See page BE-84)
Is actuator operation normal ?
No → Replace actuator.
Yes ↓
COMPUTER
INSPECT ACTUATOR CIRCUIT
Is resistance value between computer
terminals correct ?
Between terminals 1 and 2 about 68 Ω
Between terminals 2 and 3 about 30 Ω
No → Open or short circuit in wire harness
between actuator and computer.
Yes ↓
Replace computer.
