REAR AXLE AND SUSPENSION — IRS Type Rear Suspension RA-45 Coil Spring and Rear Shock Absorber REMOVAL OF COIL SPRING AND SHOCK ABSORBER 1. JACK UP VEHICLE Jack up the differential carrier assembly and support the rear suspension member with stands. SI0023 2. REMOVE BRAKE HOSE CLIPS 3. REMOVE STABILIZER BAR END Disconnect the nut, cushion and retainer from suspension arm. RA0400 4. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT Remove the nut holding the rear drive shaft. RA0002 5. LEAVE A JACK UNDER SUSPENSION ARM Jack Up Point RA0362 6. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER (a) Remove the bolt holding the shock absorber to the rear suspension arm and disconnect the shock absorber. RA0134
