L RANGE TEST (a) While running in the L range, check to see that there is no up-shift to 2nd gear. L Range No Up-Shift P R N D 2 L 1 → 2 AT2808 (b) While running in the L range, release the accelerator pedal and check the engine braking effect. EVALUATION If there is no engine braking effect: • First and reverse brake is defective L Range P R N D 2 L 1 → Engine Braking? AT2807 (c) Check for abnormal noise during acceleration and deceleration. L Range P R N D 2 L Abnormal Noise? AT2806 4.
