Front Upper Ball Joint Replacement - Mevotech Control Arms from RockAuto

SuspensionintermediateOP Confirmed
Problem

Front upper ball joints on the MKIII Supra are integrated into the upper control arm and were never sold separately by Toyota. The complete upper control arms have been discontinued by Toyota, making replacement difficult when the ball joints or dust boots are worn or damaged.

Torn or deteriorated upper ball joint dust bootsWorn upper ball joint causing play in front suspensionDifficulty sourcing replacement front upper control arms (FUCAs)
Root Cause

Toyota designed the front upper ball joints as non-serviceable parts integrated into the upper control arm assembly. Since the upper ball joints are not load-bearing, Toyota never sold them separately. With the complete arms now discontinued, owners with damaged boots or worn joints have limited replacement options.
