7MGTE Runs Poorly After Injector Swap - Disconnected BVSV Vacuum Line

EnginebeginnerOP Confirmed
Problem

After attempting to install 550cc injectors with a Lexus AFM and failing to get the combo to run properly, the owner swapped back to the stock 440cc injectors and standard AFM. However, the stock combo then also refused to run right, leading to the car being parked for months.

Engine would not run properly after swapping back to stock 440cc injectors and standard AFMCar ran so poorly it was parked and taken off insurancePoor idle and running that would not settle
Root Cause

During the injector and AFM swap work, the BVSV (Bimetal Vacuum Switching Valve) vacuum line that runs along the 3000 pipe was left disconnected. This unmetered vacuum leak caused the engine to run poorly regardless of the injector/AFM combination installed.
