Identifying Cut Engine Harness Wires - Starter Circuit and Rear Knock Sensor

ElectricalintermediateOP Confirmed
Problem

Two wires found cut or broken on the engine wiring harness after motor pull. One black with blue stripe wire was cleanly cut, and one brown wire (appeared clear/discolored where stretched and broken) was disconnected with no obvious destination.

Root Cause

During a previous engine pull, two engine harness wires were severed: the black/blue starter circuit wire (STA signal from ECU that tees into the cold start injector time switch and neutral start switch) and the rear knock sensor shielded wire (which had discolored from brown to a lighter/clear appearance where exposed).
