Climate Control Blend Door Calibration - Under-Dash Diagnostic Connector

ElectricalbeginnerCommunity Verified
Problem

After replacing the blend door servo motor or if cabin temperature does not match the set temperature on the automatic climate control, the blend door position may be out of calibration. There are also mysterious unidentified blue 3-wire connectors under the dash near the glove box that owners may not recognize.

Root Cause

The automatic climate control blend door servo requires calibration so that the 'O' mark on the blend lever aligns with the pointer when the temperature is set to 77°F (25°C). After servo motor replacement or due to drift, this calibration can be off by up to +/- 2 degrees.
