Problem

An unknown small rubber part was found loose inside the car, having fallen from behind the rearview mirror mounting stalk. Without this bushing, the rearview mirror can vibrate and rattle.

Root Cause

The rubber anti-vibration support bushing behind the rearview mirror mounting stalk gets knocked loose over time, especially when cleaning the inside of the windshield. On cars with replaced windshields, it is often missing entirely.
