Problem

After completing a 7MGE to 7MGTE engine swap, the vacuum hose from the charcoal canister had no apparent connection point on the air filter housing/air box.

Root Cause

The 7MGE accordion hose (intake tube between air box and throttle body) was reused during the 7MGTE swap. The 7MGE and 7MGTE accordion hoses are different — the 7MGTE version includes a crossover pipe mounted to the back of the AFM (Air Flow Meter) housing that provides the connection point for the vacuum line routing to the charcoal canister.
