Problem

During a 7M engine build, the King MB767am main bearing set was found to be missing the correct #1 main bearing. All bearings in the set had tabs on the same side and were 22mm, but the #1 main bearing should be 25mm with the tab on the opposite side.

Root Cause

The King MB767am main bearing set does not include the correct #1 main bearing for the 7M engine. The #1 journal uses a bearing with a different tab orientation and 25mm width, unlike the remaining journals which use 22mm bearings. Toyota's design specifies the #1 main bearing has different tabs than the rest, and the flat-sided bearing without a groove or holes goes in the bearing cap.
