Car would randomly crank but not start. The fuel pump relay was not getting power due to a broken mounting bolt that serves as the ground path for the fuel relay and diagnostic block.
The single bolt that mounts the fuel pump relay and diagnostic block to the chassis also serves as the ground for the entire unit. The bolt head sheared off, leaving a stud stuck in the chassis hole, which eliminated the ground connection and prevented the relay from functioning.
