Engine Bogging at 5,250 RPM After Bad Gas - Tank Flush and Filter Replacement

Fuel SystembeginnerOP Confirmed
Problem

After accidentally running bad gas through the car, the engine would bog down and lose power at approximately 5,250 RPM under load, mimicking a fuel cut or rev limiter. Replacing the fuel filter temporarily resolved the issue, but the new filter quickly became clogged again from residual contamination in the fuel tank.

Root Cause

Contaminated (bad) gas left residual deposits and particulates in the fuel tank that repeatedly clogged the fuel filter and restricted fuel delivery under high demand. The contaminant would settle in the tank and get picked up by the fuel pump when driving hard.
