Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Replacement Using Ford Ranger SKF Bearing

TransmissionintermediateOP Confirmed
Problem

Worn out driveshaft center support (carrier) bearing needing replacement, with OEM Toyota parts costing ~$300

Worn center support bearingDriveline vibration or noise from worn bearing
Root Cause

Original OEM driveshaft center support bearing worn out due to age. OEM replacements are expensive (~$300). An affordable SKF bearing from a 90s V6 Ford Ranger fits the application but the included metal cover disc must not be used as it rubs against the driveshaft and creates loud noise.
