1987 MA70 Supra would crank but not start after sitting for a couple of years. The ignition fuse was blown, and after replacing it the engine would backfire once with throttle input but still would not start.
Two issues: First, a ground issue was causing the ignition fuse to blow. Second, the crank position sensor (CPS) connection was out of adjustment, likely due to previous owner's modifications to the wiring harness.
