Crank No Start with Backfire - CPS Connection Adjustment

ElectricalintermediateOP Confirmed
Problem

1987 MA70 Supra would crank but not start after sitting for a couple of years. The ignition fuse was blown, and after replacing it the engine would backfire once with throttle input but still would not start.

Engine cranks but does not startBackfire when giving throttle while crankingIgnition fuse blown repeatedlyCar had been sitting for several years
Root Cause

Two issues: First, a ground issue was causing the ignition fuse to blow. Second, the crank position sensor (CPS) connection was out of adjustment, likely due to previous owner's modifications to the wiring harness.
