Problem

Oil leak on the passenger side of a 7MGTE engine after a rebuild. Oil was pooling and dripping from the passenger side of the block near the motor mount area.

Root Cause

The M-stamped oil pressure blank-off plate (located behind the motor mount on the passenger side of the block) was installed during the rebuild without a gasket/O-ring, allowing oil to seep past the plate.
