Headlights Won't Rise or Turn On Via Stalk - Missing Chassis Ground

ElectricalintermediateCommunity Verified
Problem

Headlights would not rise or illuminate when using the light stalk switch. Dash lights, tail lights, brake lights, and indicators all worked normally. Headlights would only operate when manually providing an earth/ground directly to the integration relay.

Headlights do not rise or turn on via stalk switchHeadlights work when manually grounding the integration relayHigh beam flash does not work via stalkDash lights, tail lights, brake lights, and indicators all function normallyIntegration relay appears to have no ground path through the stalk circuit
Root Cause

Lost or disconnected common chassis ground at the left kick panel Junction Block #1 fuse box lower mounting bolt D. This single ground point serves the headlights, the light stalk switch, and pin 18 of the Integration Relay #2. Without this ground, the stalk switch cannot complete the circuit to trigger the integration relay, even though the switch itself tests good.
