Vehicle was not charging properly. The original alternator had failed, and a rebuilt replacement alternator was also defective, resulting in continued charging system failure.

Both the original alternator and the first rebuilt (remanufactured) replacement alternator were defective. Rebuilt alternators, particularly budget brands, can be dead on arrival. The alternator was not producing adequate output to charge the battery.
