Shifter Rumble/Knocking at Low RPM - Stretched Exhaust Hangers

ExhaustbeginnerOP Confirmed
Problem

After going off-road, the shifter would rumble/chatter and rock side to side when starting the car, shutting it off, or modulating the clutch at low speeds. A knocking/rumble sound accompanied the shifter movement. Occurred regardless of being in gear or neutral.

Root Cause

The exhaust rubber hangers were stretched or damaged (likely from going off-road), causing the exhaust to move excessively and knock against surrounding components. The vibration transmitted through the chassis and was most noticeable through the shifter.
