Steering Rack Dampener Bracket Removal - Left Hand Threads & Seized Nut

SuspensionadvancedOP Confirmed
Problem

Steering rack dampener bracket nut would not come off during disassembly, appearing completely seized and not responding to normal removal attempts

Dampener bracket nut will not loosen when turned counterclockwise (normal direction)Nut is severely seized/corroded in placeStandard wrenches do not fit the nut properly due to tight clearance
Root Cause

The steering rack dampener bracket nut uses left-hand threads (reverse of normal), so turning it the typical counterclockwise direction actually tightens it. Combined with corrosion and seizing over decades, the nut becomes extremely difficult to remove without knowing the correct thread direction and using penetrating oil.
