Unidentified Vacuum Line Near EGR on 7M-GE - Heater Valve Connection

EnginebeginnerOP Confirmed
Problem

During engine reassembly on a 1987 7M-GE, one remaining vacuum line at the corner of the intake manifold near the EGR system had no clear destination. The owner initially assumed it connected to the cruise control T-splitter but was unsure.

Unidentified vacuum hose at corner of intake manifold near EGR systemConfusion about vacuum line routing after reconnecting many lines during engine reassembly
Root Cause

The vacuum line from the intake manifold near the EGR system connects to a T-splitter that feeds both the heater valve and cruise control. During reassembly with the engine on a stand, this routing was not obvious because the firewall-side plastic vacuum line and heater valve assembly were still in the engine bay.
