No Rear Lights (Brake, Reverse, Running) - Failed Tail Light Module Replacement

ElectricalbeginnerOP Confirmed
Problem

Rear taillights completely non-functional - no reverse lights, brake lights, or running lights. Front lights, license plate light, and turn signals all work normally. Fuses all check out fine and bulbs appear good.

Root Cause

The tail light failure module (commonly called the 'failbox') located in the trunk area malfunctioned and cut power to the rear lights. This module is designed to detect burned-out bulbs but is prone to failure itself, especially from water intrusion through a deteriorated hatch rubber gasket and rotted pinch weld, which causes white corrosion on the module's circuit board.
