Code 52 Knock Sensor Fix - Rewiring with Shielded Coax Cable

ECU throws Code 52 (knock sensor fault) due to degraded or damaged factory knock sensor wiring that allows electrical noise to interfere with the knock sensor signal, causing incorrect timing behavior.
The factory knock sensor wiring degrades over time. The original wire is a brown-insulated shielded cable with a see-through inner signal wire. When the shielding or insulation breaks down, electrical noise from the engine bay corrupts the knock sensor signal, triggering Code 52. This is the most common cause of Code 52 (more common than an actual bad knock sensor).
