Stock Alarm Triggers When Unlocking Driver's Door - Door Lock Disarm Switch Cleaning

The factory alarm system goes off every time the driver's door is unlocked with the key, even though the key is being used properly. The alarm disarm switch inside the door lock assembly has dirty or corroded contacts, preventing the alarm from recognizing a legitimate key unlock.
The alarm disarm switch is a small plastic cap that clips onto the back of the driver's door lock cylinder. Inside this cap is a plastic disc with copper contacts that make an electrical connection when the key turns the lock cylinder. Over time, these contacts become gunked up, corroded, or the crescent-shaped copper contact can detach from its plastic rivet, preventing the switch from signaling the alarm to disarm.
