(b) Connect the negative (—) lead to the terminal 6.
Check that the test bulb does not light.
If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.

INSPECT SWITCH CONTINUITY
Inspect the switch continuity between terminals.

INSPECTION OF FOG LIGHT RELAY
1. INSPECT RELAY CONTINUITY
(a) Check that there is continuity between terminals 1
and 3.
(b) Check that there is no continuity between terminals 2
and 4.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
2. INSPECT RELAY OPERATION
(a) Apply battery voltage across terminals 2 and 4.
(b) Check that there is continuity between terminals 1
and 3.
If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
Light Control Rheostat (Analog Type)
INSPECTION OF LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
INSPECT RHEOSTAT OPERATION
(a) Gradually change the brightness of rheostat from
maximum to minimum, check that the resistance be-
tween terminals increases from 0 Ω to 10 Ω.
0.0 —→ 10 Ω
