4 Next, check if the headlight relay points are closed and there is power to the pin No. 5 of ⊕D.
See step 1-(b)
If no voltage, trouble lies in the headlight relay.
(e) Check which systems (components) have the same ground point.
The ground points are listed in system No. 34 (GROUND POINTS). As shown, GROUND POINT ∇ is used for other components besides the HEAD-LIGHT SYSTEM, and it also connected to GROUND POINT ∇.
(f) Check how the HEADLIGHT SYSTEM is connected to the other systems.
1 From the EWD SYSTEM INDEX (facing the first EWD), we can find the location of the headlight system within the ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM at the back of the book (Page 5 of 8, grid 7).
2 By referring to the ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM, we can see that the HEADLIGHT SYSTEM is related to the TAIL and ILLUMINATION SYSTEM.
NOTE:
The relationship between system circuits is not shown so always confirm with the overall wiring diagram.
(g) Re-check
After repair, check that the circuit functions normally. Always follow the steps described above to narrow down the possible range of the trouble.
