FA-14 FRONT AXLE AND SUSPENSION — Front Axle Hub (c) Install and torque a new axle hub lock nut. Torque: 2,030 kg-cm (147 ft-lb, 199 N·m) (d) Using a punch and hammer, stake the lock nut. 5. INSTALL HUB BEARING CAP Using a screwdriver and hammer, install the hub bearing cap to the steering knuckle. INSTALLATION OF FRONT AXLE HUB (See page FA-8) 1. INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE TO UPPER BALL JOINT (a) Install the steering knuckle to the upper ball joint and torque the nut. Torque: 1,050 kg-cm (76 ft-lb, 103 N·m) (b) Install a new cotter pin. 2. CONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE TO LOWER BALL JOINT (a) Connect the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint and torque the nut. Torque: 1,270 kg-cm (92 ft-lb, 125 N·m) (b) Install a new clip.
