RA-12 REAR AXLE AND SUSPENSION — Rear Axle Hub
(d) Coat the bearings and hub inside with MP grease.
(e) Install two new bearing inner races.
2. INSTALL OUTER OIL SEAL
(a) Using SST, drive in a new oil seal to the axle carrier.
SST 09608-32010
(b) Apply MP grease between the oil seal lip and oil seal.
3. INSTALL BACKING PLATE TO AXLE CARRIER
Torque: Nut 600 kg-cm (43 ft-lb, 59 N-m)
Bolt 260 kg-cm (19 ft-lb, 25 N-m)
4. INSTALL AXLE SHAFT
Using SST, install the axle shaft to the axle carrier.
SST 09608-35014 (09608-06020, 09608-06180)
5. INSTALL INNER OIL SEAL
(a) Using SST, drive in a new oil seal to the axle carrier.
SST 09223-15010
(b) Apply MP grease between the oil seal lip, oil seal and
bearing.
