AT2–98 A340E (2JZ—GTE) AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION – TROUBLESHOOTING INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1 Check main throttle position signal. P Turn ignition switch ON. C Check voltage at the terminal TT of the DLC2 while gradually depressing the accelerator pedal from the fully closed position to the fully opened position. OK Voltage changes from 0 V to 8 V by stages. T Terminal Voltage (V) 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 (Voltage) (Close) Throttle Valve Opening Angle (Open) Hint Do not depress the brake pedal during the test. The voltage will stay at 0 V if depressed. ON DLC2 TT E1 A80119 AT5830 NG OK Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on matrix chart (See page AT2–64). 2 Check main (sub)–throttle position sensor. (see page EG–292, 293) OK NG Replace throttle position sensor. 3 Check harness and connector between ECM and Main (Sub)–throttle position sensor (See page IN–30). OK NG Repair or replace harness or connector. Check and replace ECM.
