INSPECTION OF THEFT DETERRENT HORN CIRCUIT

Turn ignition switch off.

Is HAZ fuse normal?

No → Replace fuse. Is operation normal?

No → Short circuit in wire harness between fuse and terminal 1 of theft deterrent horn.

Yes ↓

Yes ↓

Fuse faulty.

THEFT DETERRENT HORN

INSPECT POWER SOURCE
Disconnect connector from horn.
Is there battery voltage between terminal 1 of connector side and body ground?

No → Open circuit in wire harness between terminal 1 of horn and fuse.

Yes ↓

COMPUTER

INSPECT HORN OPERATION
Is horn normal? (See page BE-100)

No → Replace horn.

Yes ↓

INSPECT HORN CIRCUIT
Disconnect connector from horn and computer.
Is there continuity between terminal 2 of horn side connector and terminal 12 of computer side connector?

No → Open circuit in wire harness between terminal 12 of computer and terminal 2 of horn.

Yes ↓

Replace computer.
