REMOVAL OF ENGINE 1. REMOVE HOOD 2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF BATTERY CAUTION: Work must be started after approx. 20 seconds or longer from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative (—) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. 3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 4. DRAIN COOLANT FROM RADIATOR AND CYLINDER BLOCK (See page CO-5) 5. DRAIN ENGINE OIL 6. (7M-GE) REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE WITH HOSES (a) Disconnect the air flow meter connector. (b) Disconnect the PS air hose. (c) Remove the three bolts and air cleaner case with hoses. (7M-GTE) REMOVE NO.4 AIR CLEANER PIPE WITH NO.1 AND NO.2 AIR CLEANER HOSES 7. REMOVE NO.7 AIR CLEANER HOSE WITH AIR FLOW METER AND AIR CLEANER CAP (a) Disconnect the three air hoses and PCV hose. (b) Disconnect the air flow meter connector. (c) Disconnect the PS air hose. 8. REMOVE RADIATOR (See page CO-5) 9. REMOVE A/C BELT 10. REMOVE ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT, WATER PUMP PULLEY AND FLUID COUPLING 11. REMOVE PS BELT 12. DISCONNECT FOLLOWING HOSES: (a) Brake booster hose (b) Heater valve hose (c) Cruise control hose (d) Charcoal canister hose
