INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check voltage between terminal EGR of engine control module connector and body ground.

(2) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
C Measure voltage between terminal EGR of engine control module connector and body ground.
OK Voltage: 9 — 14 V
NG
OK Go to step 4 .
2 Check resistance between terminals of VSV for EGR.

P Remove VSV for EGR. (See page EG–310)
C Measure resistance between terminals of VSV for EGR.
OK Resistance: 30 — 34 Ω at 20˚C (68˚F)
OK
NG Replace VSV for EGR.
3 Check for open and short in harness and connector between EFI main relay and VSV for EGR, VSV for EGR and engine control module (See page IN–30).
OK
NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
Check and replace engine control module.
