INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1 Check fuel pump operation. ON +B SST FP DLC1 P (1) Turn ignition switch ON. (2) Using SST, connect terminals +B and FP of data link connector 1. SST 09843–18020 C Check that there is pressure in the hose from the fuel filter. OK Fuel pressure can be felt. Fuel Inlet Hose BE6653 P11290 P11446 OK NG Go to step 3 . 2 Check for open and short in harness and connector between terminals +B ↔ +B, FP ↔ FP of the data link connector 1 and fuel pump ECU (See page IN–30). NG OK Go to step 5 . Repair or replace harness or connector. 3 Check voltage of terminal +B of data link connector 1. ON +B V DLC1 BE6653 FI6958 P Turn ignition switch ON. C Measure voltage between terminal +B of data link connector 1 and body ground. OK Voltage: 9 — 14 V OK NG Check for ECM power source circuit (See page EG–576), and check for open in harness and connector between terminal +B of data link connector 1 and main relay.
