BE–198 BODY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM – CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM 1 Check voltage between terminal CMS and GND of cruise control ECU connector ON P Remove cruise control ECU with connectors still connected. C (1) Turn ignition switch ON. (2) Measure voltage between terminal CMS and GND of cruise control ECU connector when main switch is held on and off. OK Main switch Voltage OFF 10 — 14 V ON Below 2 V GND CMS BE3840 N08759 NG OK Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on matrix chart (See page BE–170). 2 Check main switch. 4 2 P (1) Remove steering wheel center pad (See page RS Section). (2) Disconnect cruise control switch connector. C Check continuity between terminals 2 and 4 of cruise control switch connector when main switch is held on and off. OK O——O Continuity Terminals 2 4 Main switch OFF Hold ON O O N08655 OK NG Replace control switch. 3 Check harness and connector between cruise control ECU and main switch, main switch and body ground. (See page IN–30). OK NG Repair or replace harness or connector. Check and replace cruise control ECU.
