EG–416 ENGINE – 2JZ–GE ENGINE TROUBLESHOOTING 6 Check for open and short in harness and connector between ignitioin switch and ignition coil, ignition coil and igniter (See page IN–30). OK NG Repair or replace harness or connector. 7 Check ignition coil. Primary Coil P Disconnect ignition coil connector. C (1) Check primary coil. Measure resistance between terminals of ignition coil connector. (2) Check secondary coil. Measure resistance between terminal (+) of ignition coil connector and high–tension terminal. OK Resistance (a) Primary Coil Cold 0.36 ~ 0.55 Ω Hot 0.45 ~ 0.65 Ω (b) Secondary Cold 9.0 ~ 11.1 kΩ Coil Hot 11.4 ~ 18.1 kΩ "Cold" is from — 10°C (14°F) to 50°C (122°F) and "Hot" is from 50°C (122°F) to 100°C (212°F). Secondary Coil (+) P11567 P11573 OK NG Replace ignition coil. Replace igniter.
